It’s all here when you choose to call Beacon Lake your home. Paddle across the 43 acres of pristine lake, and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings. Swim in the outdoor Junior Olympic pool, splash around in the water park, play on your tennis courts or the various sports fields.
The lake itself provides the chance to participate in a variety of recreational opportunities. The lake’s shoreline makes for scenic afternoon walks, and the abundance of wildlife makes for excellent birdwatching and fishing outings. Even something as simple as sunbathing or relaxing with a good book can make for a fun day at the lake!
There’s also a Bark Park for your canine companions to enjoy. When you’re ready to explore beyond the Beacon Lake Community, take in the area parks for even more recreational opportunities.
The Florida State Park System includes the Big Talbot Island State Park, with its revered Boneyard Beach. The Atlantic Ocean created this remarkable area by hurling eroded trees upon the shore, and now you can enjoy the natural beauty of a scenic spot unspoiled by modern progress.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission oversees the Twelve Mile Swamp Conversation Area. It’s a get-a-way favorite for hiking, biking, horseback riding or just viewing wildlife. The Wildlife Management Area (WMA) allows seasonal hunting.
It’s not Florida without a beach. Take the gang to the South Ponte Vedra Beach Recreation Area to experience some of the best of the east coast sun and surf. You’ll have walkover steps to the sands as well as access to picnic tables and grills.
Mickler’s Landing, at the southern end of South Ponte Vedra Beach, offers restrooms and showers. Lifeguards patrol the waters during peak season.
