Down To Earth Farm

Family-owned since 2007, the Lapinski family started the Down To Earth Farm because they believe in the importance of vibrant, local, sustainably-grown culture. With a passion for improving the health of the local community and the health of the environment, the family grows a variety of vegetables in a manner that is gentle on the planet. What exactly does that mean? This means using compost and OMRI listed products instead of chemical fertilizers to feed our plants, using organic potting soil, and fighting bugs and disease with responsible techniques such as crop rotation and regular scouting. They use no chemical pesticides or herbicides.

Every Saturday, you can find them:

10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at The Riverside Market in Jacksonville, FL

2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Jarboe Park, Neptune Beach, FL

Freshfields Farm

When: Everyday

Family-owned since the seventies, Freshfields farm isn’t a farmers market OR a supermarket. Their mantra is keeping it simple by only offering the fresh produce, meats, seafood, and cheese available. And that’s all. They keep their “Live Market Board” on their website so you can see what’s fresh that day and what’s available. Here’s an example of one of their market boards:
