Jacksonville International Airport is roughly 50 minutes north of St. Augustine and 30 minutes from beautiful Ponte Vedra Beach. It is the largest airport in the North Florida region. The airport serves national and regional airlines which connect to most major U.S. cities. It’s a quick walk to the terminal from the parking structure, and the cost of parking is reasonable. The airport employees are known to be very friendly, and the chaos of long security lines are manageable compared to other airports. Restaurants and shopping opportunities are ample, and when you need to relax you can take advantage of the massage chairs and meditation rooms.
A variety of ground transportation is available including car rental, taxi cab, rideshare, and limousine service. In case you decide to drive yourself to the airport be aware of the speed limits because law enforcement strictly enforces speeding regulations.

Northeast Florida Regional Airport, previously known as St. Augustine is smaller and easier to navigate through than JAX, and it is a welcomed alternative. There is free Wi-Fi, no crowds, and parking is quick; there is little traffic. One word of caution, options for grabbing an on-site bite to eat are minimal; there is only one café attached to the airport and a few vending machines for snacks; however you can use cash or credit to make your purchase. The location is conveniently minutes away from the central business district of downtown St. Augustine, in St. Johns County, Florida. Rental car and taxi cab services are available, and the airport is relatively close to I -95.
